Founded in 1996, in Atlanta, Georgia, the US-China Educational and Cultural Foundation has been successfully setting up Sino-American cultural and educational changes for over eight years.

The focus of the US-China Cultural & Educational Foundation is professional performance, cultural and educational exchange between the US and China and establishing programs which teach English as a second language (ESL).

Our work is to bring the east and west together, creating an overseas opportunity to build friendship and understanding between America and China. Through us, many people find the chance to go on international performances where they can not only enjoy a new culture, but share their own.

As we have grown, the US--China Educational & Cultural Foundation has successfully arranged several very major events. For instance, in the 1996 Olympics, we set up a performance featuring special Chinese music and dance. A year later, in 1997, we brought an outstanding Swiss jazz band to perform in China. In 1999, we invited nearly 300 professional Christina artists from twenty- two countries to perform in the Kunming International Arts Festival. Then, as a celebration of the new millennia in 2000, we invited 50 people from Missouri to a performing tour of Asia. Our list of great cultural exchanges does not end there. In 2001, we hosted 40 college dance students from the US to go to China and study Chinese dance for three weeks. Later that year, we brought famous vocalists from the New York City Opera to tour in China. Early in 2002 we invited 50 Chinese students to come to the US to study at Belhaven College during the month of January. In April 2002, we hosted 20 music professors from different Chinese conservatories to attend a MENC conference in Nashville.

In the year of July 2002, with Messiah Project Inc., we started a big production called “Savior”, a modern Oratorio Christian show. There were almost 60 Christina artist performing in Beijing, Chengdu, and Kunming China, not to mention Bangkok, Thailand. Also that year, in August, we hosted world-renowned children’s choirs in China to attend the Sixth World Symposium on Choral Music. Afterwards, all 36 members of the choir went on a tour of the whole east coast of the US, where they performed in more than a dozen places in New York, Maryland, New Jersey, Virginia, North Carolina, and Georgia.

In 2003, we hosted the Kenmore High School Wind Ensemble from Seattle in their performance in China. Later that year, we hosted a modern jazz band from Switzerland. In 2004, we hosted the Deklab Youth Symphony Orchestra to perform in China. In May and June of 2004, we hosted the CORE dance company from Georgia as well as the Savannah Arts Academy. In 2005, we hosted the Forte saxophone quartet for a new year performance in China. In the same year, we hosted the Kansas Wind Ensemble in the 60th year anniversary of the end of WWII China tour. In 2006, we hosted the Metro Atlanta Youth Symphony Orchestra to perform in China. In May, we brought the first American marching band to ever perform in China in the University of Georgia's Recoat Band's tour of China. In 2007, we brought the Belmont tour to perform in China and we also hosted the International Panda Festival in China. In 2008, we hosted the American Chinese Peach Blossom Festival and setup the Santa Barbara Modern Dance performance in China, as well as arranged the University of Kentucky Wind Ensemble tour of China.

At the same time, we have setup Chinese student summer camps in the USA every year. Annually, we have brought 30-50 students to the USA for cultural exchange. We've also hosted high-level government delegations from China on an annual basis.

"I was please to learn that the Redcoat marching band will tour China in may, 2006. This indeed is an honor for the 300 students and faculty who make up the band. I am certain that this program will be most enjoyable and highly educational for the band members who will travel to China, as well as for Chinese audiences who hear their music"

--Rober Laing, Cultural Affairs Officer       US Embassy Beijing, China

"Song--I want to thank you again for creating the experience of a lifetime for me, my colleagues and the students of the University of Kansas band. Your thoughtful guidance and attention to detail were amazing. The warmth and hospitality that we experiences in China were unlike anything we have experienced anywhere! Everyone has fallen in love with China and all the wonderful people we met. It's hard to express how much this trip meant to all of us. Thank you Song!"
